JCTC Learning Commons use the Library of Congress classification system to organize books. The call number is a combination of letters and numbers.

On the Southwest campus, all books are shelved according to LC call number. Reference books are located on the first floor. Most other books are located on the second floor. There are rotating displays on the first floor, which usually include new books and some popular fiction.
