How do I get a student parking permit?


Parking permits are required to park in all Jefferson student lots during the Fall and Spring semesters. Parking permits are not required for Summer terms.

Parking permits are $25.00 per semester. Students are allowed only one permit under his/her/their name. Student balances must be paid in full or have official payment arrangements (on a valid payment plan or approved third party such as Financial Aid) established before the permit will be released.

Parking permits are purchased online using the Storefront process detailed below:

  • Open a web browser of your choice (Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox are the recommended browsers).
  • Go to https://jefferson-kctcs.nbsstore.net/
  • Click on the button titled ‘Parking’ located on the homepage.
  • Select the ‘Jefferson Student Parking Permit.’
  • From here, fill out all fields with the relevant information, then add to cart. 
  • In the top right corner of the screen, go to the Shopping Cart. Once there, verify the information on the permit is correct and agree to the Terms of Service and checkout.
  • Choose how you would like to check out (i.e. as a guest or register an account).
  • Finish the checkout process. You will receive a confirmation email once this has been completed, letting you know that your purchase has been successful.

After purchasing your parking permit, it may be picked up during regular business hours at these locations:

  • Downtown Campus: Bursar’s Office, Jefferson Education Center, Room 300
  • Southwest Campus: Bursar’s Office, Student Center Building A, Room 102 (Mondays and Tuesdays Only)
  • Technical Campus: Student Services Office, Building B, Room 109
  • Bullitt Campus: Room 105
  • Carrollton Campus: Front Desk (A101)

Students wishing to park on campus in ADA accessible parking must apply for a Jefferson ADA accessible parking permit. To obtain a JCTC parking permit with an ADA accessible sticker, you will need to present a current state-issued disability credential (i.e. Disabled Placard Receipt) to the Bursar’s Office for verification. To park in an ADA accessible space, a valid Jefferson ADA student parking permit AND a state-issued ADA parking permit or license plate must be displayed.
