FAQs

No printer is showing up on the Learning Commons computer, what do I do?


If you are using a Learning Commons Downtown computer and there is no printer to select. Follow these steps: 

  1. Press the Windows key + R or use the search bar at the bottom of the screen to search for the Run app. 

  2. In the menu that comes up, type: 
    \\jf-svr-print-d2\jf-dt-lrc-frnt-1
    or
    \\jf-svr-print-d2\jf-dt-lrc-frnt-2

  3. Hit “Enter”.
  4. Click on the “Printer” tab in the upper left-hand corner of the box. 
  5. Click “Set as Default Printer” .
  6. Go back to your document and print it as normal. You may need to refresh the print menu of your document.

Ask for help at the central circulation desk or the computer help desk if the problem persists.
